Justin Wright Strikes Out 15 In Win Against Georgia Tech

Justin Wright, pitcher for Virginia Tech, had a historic night on the mound. Justin Wright pitched a complete game in the first game for the Hokies in the ACC Tournament against Georgia Tech, the number six team in the nation.

Justin Wright's stats are as followed: 9.0 IP, 4 hits, 2 runs, 2 ER, 2 BB, 15 K, 2.00 ERA

The only two runs given up by Wright were both solo home-runs by the Yellow Jackets.

On the offensive side, home-runs by Austin Wates and Michael Seaborn gave the Hokies a much needed boost at the plate. Both were two-run home-runs.

With the great pitching performance and solid offensive showing, Virginia Tech beats Georgia Tech, 6-2.

Virginia Tech moves to 1-0 in pool play in Group B while Georgia Tech moves to 0-1 in pool play in Group B.

Virginia Tech will play #16 Clemson on Friday at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Comcast Sports Network.
