Women's Basketball Team Gets Big ACC Win Over Miami

The Virginia Tech women's basketball team scored a big road ACC win in Florida against Miami.

Utahya Drye was an absolute beast on the floor going 10-12 for 20 points and 9 rebounds. Nikki Davis was also money, but she made her bank from the 3-point line going 5-6 from behind the arc. Davis finished with 29 points in the contest.

The Hokies ended the first half down six points but came back strong in the 2nd half. Virginia Tech came out shooting 55% from the field in the 2nd half and began to pull away late.

Despite having three players in double digit points, the Lady Hurricanes shot only 29 percent in the second half.

The Hokies end up with the victory: 73-69

Virginia Tech moves to 12-7 on the season and 2-3 in ACC play.
Miami moves to 14-5 on the season and also falls to 2-3 in ACC play.

Virginia Tech plays the Lady Terrapins of Maryland at home on January 28th at 7:00 pm.
